Man died after being left unattended at hospital for 7 hours, his mother's lawsuit alleges

A 23-year-old man died at a hospital in Connecticut. An ambulance drove him to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was being treated for fentanyl toxicity. The ambulance took him to Yale New Haven's emergency department for medical monitoring to prevent toxicity recurrence.

After he was treated, he was left alone and ignored by medical staff for seven hours. After hours of being left unattended, he was found dead in full cardiac arrest for an unknown period of time.

We need to fight back, starting by giving victims and their families the power to seek justice when they are hurt through negligence or putting profits ahead of lives. We believe that corporations, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies responsible must be put in check. The legislature must act now to correct this by repealing the artificial cap on court cases involving negligence or death.
